Abundance vs. Simplicity

“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”  Proverbs 24:3, 4

Abundance - the one thing we all desire in life.  More than enough...time, energy, money, relationships.  Simplicity - freedom from complexity, plainness as a way of life.  Can we ever have both at the same time?   Is this balance even required?

You can't have abundance unless the every day, seemingly mundane efforts in life are taken care of.  Otherwise, the view of our existence would look something like that of a hoarder!  NOT what any of us wants.

We can obtain such a balance amidst the hectic every day push to finish a task, any task...let alone the many tasks that demand our thoughts and responsibilities.   Mounds and mounds of unfinished business can become mountains of complicated tasks that we can't see any more, but weigh us down with anxiety and insecurity.  It's not an easy road, but with a little encouragement, perhaps we can find a little bit of rest amidst the turmoil.
